  • Are YOU interested in finding out more about the Practice?
  • Would YOU like to influence the development of local health services?

Then join our ‘Virtual Patient Participation Group’.

The purpose of the Virtual Patient Participation Group is to establish a system of communication with registered patients in the Practice so that their views and concerns are fed back. We also aim for our patients and VPPG members to have a better understanding and knowledge of the Practice, its staff and its viewpoint.

We realise that many patients are unable to attend the meetings due to pressure from studies, work or family commitments but may want to have a say in what we do. We need and value the input from a wide range of patients especially the ones who are busy, with children or who may be carers for someone. Why not join our “virtual” community? We can keep in touch by email and you can play a very important role in our PPG. We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, employees, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

Virtual Patient Participation Groups (VPPGs) work by building a relationship between the practice and its patients that breaks down barriers and shares information. VPPGs can develop to influence the wider NHS, most notably the decisions that are made on behalf of patients about the services that are available to them.

As a member of this group we will, from time to time, (probably no more than 2/3 times a year) send you emails asking for your opinion on a range of topics. By doing this you will help the practice to provide an accessible and responsive service and you will be amongst the first to hear about news and updates. If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields. Contact details will be kept safely and securely, and will only be used for this purpose.  Membership of the group will have no impact on your medical care, in any way. The information supplied to us will be used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you would like to join the group please complete the form below and someone will be in touch with further details.
