One of our practice nurses is available Monday to Friday. Nursing appointments can also be booked for the Hubs on Saturdays and evenings. Further details of the Extended access hubs can be found here.

Please make an appointment via reception.

Our practice nurses are able to provide advice about many aspects of health care including family planning, asthma, diabetes, HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) , health promotion, smoking cessation, immunisations (for travel and routine baby immunisations), dressings etc

They carry out all cervical smears on ladies on the NHS recall system. They can also deal with a variety of minor injuries such as sprains, burns, and splinters as well as removal of sutures. It is often much easier to get an appointment with one of our nurses.

If you think they may be able to deal with your problem please ask the receptionist for an appointment. If you are not sure, the receptionist may be able to help you. Our nurses run special clinics for patients with coronary heart disease, asthma and diabetes.

Mr Heath Meredith (M)

Health Care Assistant

Healthcare assistants (HCAs) support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as blood pressure measurement, NHS and new patient health checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. HCAs may also carry out cardiology procedures such as ECG monitoring and 24-hour Blood Pressure assessments.

Practice Clinical Pharmacists

We have a number of Clinical Pharmacists who help review and advise on all aspects of medicines and prescribing. You may be asked to have a telephone appointment with one of them to review your repeat medications and to check if any special monitoring is required.

Community Staff

Community Midwives

Midwifery services are provided locally by the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) or patients can use other hospitals such as Pembury.

There is an Midwife Antenatal clinic every Tuesday 14:00 -16:00 by appointment at the Medical Centre. The midwives undertake most antenatal care. All postnatal checks are carried out  by one of the doctors.

District Nurses

If you are already known to the district nurses you can self refer but otherwise you will need a referral from the Practice so please speak to Reception or complete an online eConsult form selecting ‘I need administrative help’.

Full details of Bromley’s District Nursing Services can be found here

Health Visitors

Our health visitors can offer advice and help especially relating to babies and children under 5 years. This might include advice about feeding, weaning, minor ailments and immunisations.

Our Practice is covered by both the Bromley and Sevenoaks health visiting teams and your allocation is dependant upon which council tax area your property is in.  Links to both health visiting teams can be found here:
